Home Values On Zillow Are Woefully Inaccurate When Compared To Actual MLS Records And County Records

Zillow has become one of the more popular home search sites on the internet.

Use it all you like, but just know that Zillow gives you a portion of the market from agents/owners who pony-up the dough to buy a Zillow listing.

Same goes for Realtor.com.

If you want access to ALL of the homes for sale, find a real estate website that gives you IDX access to the Realtor's Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

For example, you can use our website IDX two ways; First, you can do real-time home searches; Second, you can store your wish list on the site, and you'll get a market update each day via email, with listings that fit your wish list that were listed within the previous 24 hours.

You'll find out that IDX access to the MLS gives you real-time information about homes for sale, and avoid getting excited about a home, only to find out that it sold last month.  

Hey, when an agent pays for a 90 day advertisement for his/her listing on Zillow or Realtor.com he/she gets all 90 days of advertising.

New FHA Loan Rules Begin September 7, 2010

The Senate just ratified a House bill and sent it to the President for his signature.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac claim the features in the bill will save you money.  Gee, that's great.

How will the new rules save you money?  It does so by raising your FHA loan fees.

Talk about an oxymoron from the land of morons.

Don't get me wrong... FHA loans are the best loan program, even with higher loan fees. 

Were I buying a home, I would choose an FHA loan because the down payment is just 3%, and I can negotiate a credit from the seller to pay for most of my closing costs.
