My second home woud be a Beneteau 51' sailboat based in Annapolis so long as we live in the Washington DC suburbs.  I would take her to Bermuda once each year for the next four years until we retire and move south.

When we move south, I will base her at a marina on the gulf coast.  I'll take her on a three month cruise to the islands twice each year.  Go island hopping.

At 51', she has four staterooms and four private heads (bathrooms), so I could take up to three other couples along in comfort.

My dream home USED to be "somewhere on the water with sheer curtains blowing in the breeze". That fantasy actually came true, but the location wasn't exactly where I envisioned. My DREAM was to own a home on the coast (any coast would do), but the property I eventually purchased was a second floor walk-up condo on a manmade lake. I lived there three years... Sometimes reality isn't as fulfilling as the dream. :)

Dear Pat Starnes,

Okay, so the first experience on the water was a bust.

Regroup and give it another go.  You deserve to have your dream to come true.
